Choosing Faith Over Feelings in Difficult Times
You know, things aren’t always as they seem and mostly it’s our feeling that mask the truth. I will be the first to admit it, I get mine hurt a lot because I let my feeling run crazy inside my head. It takes a conscious effort to reel them in and understand why they are there and what the truth about them really is. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”Psalms 34:18 So, if you’re like me, we often live life guided by our feelings. The problem is, feelings are often dictated by our circumstances and, when our circumstance shift, our feelings change. Feelings may last for a few hours, a few days, maybe even a few months or years, but they can and will change. Regardless of how you feel right now, you have to know that what you’re experiencing now isn’t forever. When our feelings start to get the best of us, we have to constantly remind ourselves of truth. We have to choose faith over feelings. We have to trust that the promises God made are true. When we choose faith over feelings, we trust that God has more in store for us. We trust that there is more beyond our current situation and feelings. We trust that God cares for us and truly wants what’s best for us. What does it look like for you to choose faith over feelings this week? How will you remind yourself of truth? Stay safe and have faith. Be Nice, Grace Wins. FMJ

“Sometimes we just have to trust God enough to go even when we don’t have all the answers.” -Tim TebowSo as a UGA fan, naturally I didn’t care for him when he played for Florida, but I certainly admire his commitment to the Gospel and believe he’s a faithful servant. To that point, he’s right in...
