Day 8Great weekend to race, crash and reflect! (I’m fine Dad). But today’s current events have me shaking my head...So, with everything going on in the news today, it seems as we can get sucked into different points of views on just about any subject you can think of. Many times we mistake being open minded on issues as being flexible. Our world seems to turn a blind eye to many things as Christians we know is against our core beliefs but yet we become desensitized to it and accept it. Tasteless jokes, certain music, swearing, drinking to excess, weed, etc. The other extreme is to isolate ourselves from exposure to these things and in the process we lose our ability to influence others for Christ. Speaking the truth in love can be a useful guideline in such situations where we need to take a stand. We need to be open-minded to receive different points of view but make the final call in accordance with our core value system.“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”Romans 12:2 I struggle with this, but I know the way and it’s by staying in the word, making the effort and forgiveness. Happy Monday Amigos!Peace,
