Finding God's Peace in Hard Times
Wow, November already…So, I did me some thinking over the weekend about my daily prayer with God and I’d say the number one thing I ask for is peace. Not much of anything matters to me as much as a sense of peace and serenity that only God can give me. You see, like most everyone, I too have seen some hard times. Heck, I’m sure they may be some more during my earthly life. But with the peace that only God can give me, I can handle it. So can you. Are you in a dark place right now? Are you praying for His peace? You may be thinking, “Yeah Frank, but you don’t know the hell I am facing right now.” And you would be right, I don’t. But God does. And His promise of peace in the midst of your circumstance is exactly what He can and will give to you.“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:7 I talked about this a week or two ago. Instead of praying to God to make the trouble go away, try praying for his peace and strength to see it through. I think you’ll find it works better...Be Nice. Grace winsFMJ
