Well, it is simply not true. “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.”James 1:17 What this means is that his love for you is not based on your performance, but it is based on an unshakeable decision he made in his divine mind from all eternity.When you are looking for meaning in events all around you, when you are tempted from painful events in your life to conclude that God is absent or powerless or condemning, just remember that his steadfast purpose for you will never waver.
