How are we doing waiting on God’s Plan for us? “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”Psalms 27:14 You know, when we go for the instant gratification, we give up so much. We give up what’s important for the immediate. So many of us are just like that! We want what we want, and we want it now. We don’t want to wait. Waiting’s boring, it’s passive, and it’s more fun to get things now. (Like new dirt bikes, it’s exciting!)What this is all about is waiting on God. A lot of times God wants us to wait for things. (Except dirt bikes😂)A lot of times, He wants us to wait on Him because He has something better in store for us.Other times, He wants us to wait because either we’re not ready or He’s not ready for us.Waiting also causes us to trust in God and depend on Him. When we wait on God and His timing, it causes us not to do things on our own, but instead we get the blessing of seeing God at work, His will unfold, and seeing Him make things happen for us.All kidding aside, one of the greatest blessings I’ve received is the blessing of patience with God and his plan for me. Admittedly, it unfolds painfully slow, causing some anxiety for sure. But without fail, when I am ready, he unfolds his plan to me and it is a script beyond anything I could have ever written for myself. So, relax, breathe, pray and wait...it’s gonna be ok. Peace,
