Keep Your Eyes on Jesus When the Storms Come
Have you ever given up or known someone who has because they said God never answered them? Maybe you have? I’m talking about giving up believing because your faith left you. Think back to the story of Peter and his crew when Jesus comes walking across the water in the midst of stormy seas. You see the fellas didn’t know what to think and thought Jesus was some kind of a ghost or something. So Peter, being the quick thinker, tells Jesus to send him over across the water if it was really him. So Peter starts walking across the water because his faith was so strong in Jesus he could. But as soon as Peter took his eyes off Jesus and started paying attention to the waves he began to sink. You see,He stopped holding onto his faith in Jesus to deliver him safely and began to worry about his circumstances and he was sinking. Sound familiar? Anyhow, Peter is sinking and he cries out to Jesus and says, “save me!” But Jesus calls him out and said, “You of little faith, why did you doubt me?” I love this story because it illustrates so well what we all go through all the time. We have faith, we love Jesus and we pray daily. But when we hit hard times we sometimes slowly start worrying about our problems and our faith starts waining and we being to sink. Peter started out strong, he was crushing it on the water, but he started to slip and down he goes. That happens to us too. We’ve started out strong in faith, but then something happens and we start believing what we see (or don’t see) and stop believing the Word. If Peter had kept his eyes on Jesus, and ignored the wind and the waves, he would have made it safely to Jesus’ side.“But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, "Take heart; it is I. Do not be afraid." And Peter answered him, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me." Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.”Matthew 14:27-32 Jesus has his hand stretched out for you, maybe you should take it again. Be Nice. Grace Wins.

Trust God Without Having All the Answers
“Sometimes we just have to trust God enough to go even when we don’t have all the answers.” -Tim TebowSo as a UGA fan, naturally I didn’t care for him when he played for Florida, but I certainly admire his commitment to the Gospel and believe he’s a faithful servant. To that point, he’s right in...
