Knowing You're Saved: It's Not About Performance
Hey, What’s up?Is it presumptuous to fully know you are saved? Absolutely not! It is written throughout the Scripture that God wants you to have the assurance of knowing you are saved so that not only can you be secured in your salvation but assured. But I mean, come on, how do we know, right? Most people don’t really know how to answer that...We might say because things are great and I feel Him in my life doing work, etc. But what happens when things aren’t so great? What happens when your business is down, you’re not winning at the track, your injured, lost a loved one, your golf game stinks, what then? Those times can take us to dark places. You may blame God and distance from Him when the point of reference is yourself based on how well you’re doing. This is a terrible point of reference. Yes, God’s work in your life is confirmation of salvation. However, He never intends for salvation to be based on your performance. Boom! But here it is, ready? You know you’re saved because God says that when you trust in Jesus, He will save you. We know we are saved because God made a promise. How about good works? Yeah, but good works won’t gain you salvation. It’s important, but not the key. Good work is how you become more like Jesus. We shouldn’t be foolish and willfully sin. (We talked about that last week)“When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, "It is finished," and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”John 19:30 So Rad,FMJ*sorry I was late...Snow storm in Atlanta...Smh

Standing Tall on Your Knees
“Nobody stands as tall as a Christian on his knees”I love this anonymous quote. It reminds me to spend time on my knees and thank the Lord for all his blessings and forgiveness. I need it. And because I need it (forgiveness), and because he gave it, I am filled with His grace. God has me covered...
