Taking Every Thought Captive to Christ
Anytime we are sick, lose a loved one, have a serious injury, etc. negative thoughts and doubt creep into our minds. It challenges our faith. Today is “Treatment Tuesday” so this is fresh on my mind…this got me thinking about how critical it is that we try and keep our minds in check against the word of God. Since our minds are so powerful, we have to feed them with the right thoughts, simply because battles are won or lost in our minds first! We must renew our minds every day with God's Truth. And the key is to 'take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ'. Gauge every thought against God's Word. I think Paul nailed it in Philippians 4:8 when he wrote, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”What kinds of thoughts are occupying your mind? Are they happy, sad, sinful, depressed, angry? If so, throw them out and ask for God the lay His grace upon your thoughts and ask him to help you find a good place to rest your thoughts. He will, just ask. Be Nice. Grace wins. FMJ

Trust God Without Having All the Answers
“Sometimes we just have to trust God enough to go even when we don’t have all the answers.” -Tim TebowSo as a UGA fan, naturally I didn’t care for him when he played for Florida, but I certainly admire his commitment to the Gospel and believe he’s a faithful servant. To that point, he’s right in...
