The 4 C's: What to Do When You're Lost in Life
Last night I was training for a cross country flight in the mountains with my instructor. While we were departing one of the airports he reached up and turned off all of my navigational equipment and asked, “where are you now?” Well, I thought I was on the right path but before long I started to get a little desperate and felt a bit disoriented and began to start trying to figure it out. It was getting me more lost. This was a drill, of course, and it was meant to make me feel this way and figure it out. In aviation, there are procedures for being lost. They refer to them as the “4 C’s”. Climb, Confess, Communicate and Comply. On the way home, I couldn’t help but think what a wonderful metaphor it was for our life. When we are lost and can’t find our way, we need to climb. We need to find a place where we can go and get a good view of the situation. This means getting up high enough to where we can see. Don’t spend time down low searching for an out, your going to run out of fuel and crash. Man, does that sound like how I feel when I’m lost in my problems. Just spinning around going nowhere making things worse! We need to confess. It’s OK to say we are hitting lost. Reach out to God in prayer and let Him know you are lost and that you need Him. Give Him the plane. Communicate. Tell God what you need, what you want and where you’re trying to go. Have a conversation with Him and he will show you the way. But be willing to hear the answer. Lastly, Comply. If your going to ask Him to help you out of your situation. Be willing to comply to the plans He has for you. He’s not the one who is lost, you are. You got lost doing it YOUR WAY! Now, chill out, give him the “plane” and let God bring you in...Hope you have a great weekend!Be Nice, Grace Wins!

Some Things Are Better Left Unspoken
So yesterday, I was sitting in a waiting room listening to all sorts of people talk. It occurred to me as I listened to all types of conversations that we need to be careful talking about or sharing news that may not be accurate. I would say this is ever present in today’s media for sure. You see...

Seek Understanding Before Judging Others
