The Awesome Power of God's Forgiveness
Forgiveness is awesome"I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, 'I will confess my transgressions to the LORD'--and you forgave the guilt of my sin" Psalm 32:5You see, time doesn’t heal all wounds and it certainly won’t cancel all debts. I think we all know by now that unconfessed sins linger and grow with time like a cancer to our soul. Certainly debts don’t go away on their own as well with time, they linger and accrue interest. But how great is the joy when we confess our sins to the Lord and we face the promise of forgiveness and our guilt is really gone. Enjoying God's forgiveness is better than finding out that all your credit card balances have been paid. It's better than your very last mortgage payment. It's better even than finding out that your cancer is not coming back. And yes, even better than ripping a hole shot on a full gate...😉Being forgiven means getting your life back. Your joy back. Your optimism back. Being forgiven means having an eternity you can look forward to.We are all great at “I will pray for you and ______”. We are great at praying and asking the Lord to bless whatever. But when was the last time you prayed for the Lord to forgive you for your sins? For me, it’s nightly...because I’m REALLY human. Have a great weekend and do something that scares you!Much love,
