The Lord is My Shepherd: I Shall Not Want
So, I was listening to Made to Conquer podcast last week and Tiana referenced or mentioned the author Max Lucado. It occurred to me when she said his name that I may have one his books. I believe my dad gave it to me as a gift. The book is by Max Lucado, Traveling Light. It’s a book about the Psalm of David, Psalm 23. I decided to get back into the 23rd Psalm and share some of it with you as it pertains to letting go of the burdens we carry. Too often we are dragging around crap we don’t need to...crap we weren’t intended to carry. We can start right here:“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”Psalm 23:1 You see, King David knew fatigue, hunger, fear, harsh living conditions, and intense disappointment. I’m assuming you have too? But he found that God always got him what he really needed, one day at a time. You are not alone as you make your way through your life. Your hardships and fears are known to the God who has committed himself to you as your Shepherd. He will see to it that you get what you really need, one day at a time.Let’s slow it down and don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. You picking up what I’m putting down?Be Nice, Grace Wins
