Using Our Blessings to Make Disciples
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,”Matthew 28:19 So let talk about these blessing we’ve been given. I got to thinking more about why, at certain times, we feel we are blessed more than others. And by “others” I mean other people and other times. We all go through ups and downs and we all know those who have seemingly received more than we have but why?Well, it’s to use those blessing to share the Gospel and the love of Jesus to someone who otherwise wouldn’t hear it or someone who needs it. Work with me here. Maybe you’ve won some sort of something that helps inspire someone who is struggling to see that there is hope and they may achieve the same goal. We all get inspired at times through the achievements of others. Maybe you have recovered from a past you’re not proud of and God is using you to be an example of his grace to show those who are struggling like you were that there is hope in Jesus and the state they currently reside isn’t the final place. Again, hope. Maybe God just places you somewhere today that you simply have the chance to tell someone about Jesus. Could be that simple. It happened to me last week and I was so happy that I recognized it and jumped on it! It was awesome. We’re not called to be ‘holier than thou’ people. Don’t let your blessings place you in a position where we are too busy or too good to help those who are in need. Jesus calls us to make disciples of all people in all nations!Today, lets continue to give God the glory for our blessings. Let’s take it a step further as well. What are some blessings that you have received that need to be used to reach people and share Gods word? Start praying today about how God can use you and those blessings to share the hope of Jesus.Be nice. Grace wins.
