When God Taps You on the Shoulder
I had a great day yesterday saying thank you to my clients and business partners and hopefully relaying my genuine gratitude for their business and friendships. What I love the most, is two of my stops turned into discussions of faith and Jesus! I’m telling you Church was going down today people! Ha, it was awesome. Made me grateful for the blessings of what I do and the people God gave me to do it with. Anyhow, one of the stops we got to talking about how, as Christians, we know when God is tapping us on the shoulder helping us make the right choices or even repenting when we were wrong. One example we laughed at is when someone cuts us off on the road, we may at times (I do)lose our cool, yell and blow the horn, but almost immediately we feel that tap on the shoulder. You see, that tap on the shoulder is what has saved us from ourselves and given us the promise of eternity. I remember when I got the “tap”. The greatest moment in life comes when Jesus see s something in you he wants , taps you on the shoulder, and says, “Come follow me.” You know, I feel like in a way I was a lot like Peter. Maybe you do too. He was a rough, uncouth, rank fisherman. He had his great moment when Jesus said, “Come follow me, and I will make you a fisher of men.” He answered the call and Jesus did just that. I’d like to say he did the same for me and you. So go into your weekend knowing you answered “the tap” and you have been forgiven and forgive others as you have been. Be Nice, Grace Wins!
