Who Are You Beyond What You Do?
I drove up to my camper in the mountains Wednesday night to fly and get away and collect my thoughts and support a friends who was hoping to have his Solo flight. Well, there was a few people that were new there and of course I had to go meet them...it’s kind of what I do. Idle meeting new people, it’s fun. But a funny thing occurred to me as I sat by the fire last night having my time with God. How exactly do we identify ourselves? I mean when I met these new guys one of the things they asked me was, “what do you do?” Over the years my answers have ranged from insurance sales, Motocross, pilot and sometimes “international hand model” just for laughs...When meeting someone for the first time, we want to know who they are. And by who they are, we mean what they do. We quickly define ourselves and others by the work we do. When we root our identity in our work, we experience another spiritual danger of doing good. We can be so wrapped up in work that we kind of start worshiping our calling more than we worship Christ. See where I’m going? You see, our identity is secure when it is rooted in Jesus. When we truly believe this, the grip performance has on our hearts begins to lessen. What keeps you from letting God’s love define you? Busyness? Noise? Unrest? In a fast-paced world, it is work to slow down long enough to listen, to read Scripture, to pray, and to regularly remember who we are.Take a minute this weekend and see if you can answer that. I’ve loved the conversation this week!Have a great weekend!Be Nice, Grace Wins

Trust God Without Having All the Answers
“Sometimes we just have to trust God enough to go even when we don’t have all the answers.” -Tim TebowSo as a UGA fan, naturally I didn’t care for him when he played for Florida, but I certainly admire his commitment to the Gospel and believe he’s a faithful servant. To that point, he’s right in...
