Better Left Unspoken
I got to thinking recently how some things are better left unspoken; don’t give them airtime. In other words, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all...right? Proverbs 10:19 “In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is wise”.Some things are best left unspoken, such as the wrongs and mistakes people have done or dealt to us. The Bible mentions that in the multitude of words, sin is not lacking; therefore it is better not even to talk about things that could end up spreading rumors. We become advocates of sin, evil and wickedness when we speak things that are best left unspoken. Hence we need to learn to be careful about what things we choose to speak and what things we just choose to lay aside. The Bible says a man of knowledge and understanding spares his words; that means he is careful about what he speaks and what he keeps quiet about. It is super important that we ask God for that judgement and the self-governing ability to not speak things that are going to expose somebody else unnecessarily, but rather use words in a way that are pleasing to God. This isn’t always an easy ask, but I’m praying for the discernment to know when to hold my tongue…that thing can get away from me sometimes. Be Nice. Grace wins.

God Speaks Through Our Circumstances and Tests

And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”James 1:3-4 Look, I think it’s pretty evident that God s...
