Choose Trust Over Worry - Focus on God
My dad had asked me last year if I was doing ok. The reason he asked is he was in this morning devotional and he said it appeared to him that I might be hanging on the the past a little to much. Well, we talked about it for a while and I was able to put his concerns to rest because I told him I felt like we need to remember where we came from and give glory to God that we aren’t there anymore. While he agreed, in part, I think I know now what he was trying to tell me. You see, what he was trying to tell me was that once we give our worries and our past to God, don’t pick it back up. Don’t allow them to taint your heart by giving them anymore life. Choose to let your heart meditate and dwell on God. Worrying is a choice. Worshipping is a decision. We need to focus on Christ. Trust Him and let God lead your path. Don’t focus on the storm, focus on God. God saw the storm before it formed. Lay at His feet and choose to Trust Him. He is the Lord over your circumstance. Nothing can defeat Him. Nothing can outrank Him. Choose to trust Him in every season. You choose who you will serve. God or your worries. Don’t worship your worries. Give them over to Him through prayer. “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”Matthew 6:33-34 Be Nice, Grace Wins!

So yesterday, I was sitting in a waiting room listening to all sorts of people talk. It occurred to me as I listened to all types of conversations that we need to be careful talking about or sharing news that may not be accurate. I would say this is ever present in today’s media for sure. You see...
