Letting Go of the Past to Embrace God's New Things
So as I was looking around through my notes attempting to find the illusive password that makes some IMAP thingy work for my email on my phone that conveniently quit working on its own, I came across this note I wrote down in 2017...A The basic rule in Biblical personal growth is that the life we lived before we met God is not worth holding on to; we must lose it, grieve it and let go so that He can give us good things. Sometimes our old lives and even some old friends must be mourned and let go so that our hearts can be opened to the new things that God wants for us. The lesson is this: “Follow God and be willing to let go of what he asks to let go of.”Cast your burden onto God daily. Don’t hold on to the weight and guilt of the past. Don’t be entangled by the stain of the past. Cast every burden, every weight, every worry to God and He will sustain you. Your burdens are not God. God is bigger than your problem. Be Nice, Grace Wins!
