Walking on Water: Faith in Life's Storms
So I’ve got a lot of things going on and I’m really having to lean on the Lord to give me patience and strength and deliver me from this storm that won’t seem to subside. It’s got me asking myself how strong is my faith and is it strong enough to survive it? Am I ready to “walk on water”?“And Peter answered him, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water." He said, "Come." So Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water and came to Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid, and beginning to sink he cried out, "Lord, save me." Jesus immediately reached out his hand and took hold of him, saying to him, "O you of little faith, why did you doubt?" And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased. And those in the boat worshiped him, saying, "Truly you are the Son of God." Mathew 14This came from the mouth of a man who did not think before he spoke! Has your mouth gotten you into trouble lately? I seem to stay in it...You are in good company. Still, Jesus used it to release a great lesson – and blessing. Peter walked on the water! Yes, he struggled in faith, but he did it.Which storm are you in today? Does it need to be made still? Or is it there to grow your faith? We do not know until we ask. Be ready to step out of the boat though!I’m out of the boat, I’m worried, but I’m not sinking. He is a BIG GOD!Grace,
