Order Over Busyness: Finding What Really Matters
I was talking to a friend yesterday who called to check on me and said he had messaged me a few weeks ago. My excuse was that I had just been really busy lately and I was genuinely sorry I hadn’t got back to him. But too busy to get back to someone who’s taken the time to think about me? Of course not, but I did. Got me thinking…You hear it all the time, “I’ve just been so busy...” or “I don’t have time, I’m so busy...”. Really, are you really that busy with things that matter? Is your house in order?I ask this because order is a powerful way to advance your life. Busyness is not necessarily the same as advancement. We can be busy working at the wrong things (TV, Social Media, etc.), but it’s not going to advance our lives. Not only do we need to choose the highest priorities, but we also need to be productive at bringing order to those areas. You with me? You see, sin came around with Adam and Eve and the chaos ensued. You know what I am talking about, the tendency to overeat, to leave a mess behind, to be lazy in business, to allow the weeds to take over the yard! Putting off the things that restore order in our lives by being “busy” with the things that don’t. We don’t need to buck God’s order; we need to buck the world’s system of calling evil good and good evil, which produces chaos in life. Order comes through discipline. I know that’s not a popular word, but discipline is the road to freedom. For example, if we are disciplined in our finances today, we will have more opportunities tomorrow. If we put it away now, our house will be easier to keep clean. If we have the discipline to make the tougher choices today, we can celebrate victories tomorrow.Keep it simple stupid! Right? If we keep it simple we can organize our lives with proper order. Lets work on aligning our relationships, finances and family. The order will be a blessing. Evidently, we have the time...“For though I am absent in body, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the firmness of your faith in Christ.”Colossians 2:5 Be Nice. Grace Wins.

Learning Patience Under Pressure
It’s “treatment Tuesday” again, and I think about the ride over to the Oncology center among the droves of people rushing to get to their job…only I’m not going to work. I’m going to sit with many people who are going through a rough season, so may worse than mine. It’s taught me to learn some pa...

God Speaks Through Our Circumstances and Tests
Lets keep talking about listening to God and looking for his answers. “for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”James 1:3-4 Look, I think it’s pretty evident that God s...
